The COVID-19/Coronavirus pandemic is effecting a lot of Escape Room businesses. Some have completely closed until further notice. Others are suffering lower booking numbers and higher rates of cancellation.
The Buzzshot team wish to support you.
If your business has had to shut down temporarily do let us know and we can suspend/pause your subscription for a period (either for a month now or later on once you have an understanding of your developing situation). Just tell us exactly what would help you.
If you are not shut down but are expecting lower numbers of players then let us know. You could switch yourself to a lower plan, or we could give a temporary discount. Just talk to us.

We've added a new self service settings page to help you configure how Buzzshot posts your team photos to Facebook. You can read more about it on our support site here.
You can edit the captions Buzzshot adds to your photos when uploading them. You can even supply multiple captions and have Buzzshot randomly choose one for each photo!
A little while ago we added the ability to create multiple user logins with access to your Buzzshot account. This allows you to create a different login for each staff member. We have now added the ability to deny access to the settings pages for some of these user logins. This allows you to give a staff member access to the web admin pages without worrying that they'll change any settings!
Head to the Users settings page to try it out.

Most players have a great time at Escape Rooms and so most reviews of Escape Rooms are 5 star. That's why it's so useful and effective to remind people to leave a review!
But it's unavoidable that sometimes you'll get a player who just didn't have a good time. If they want to leave a bad review there's not much you can do to stop them. But you can give them another option for to let you know they didn't have a 100% experience.
You can now setup Buzzshot to give your players an option to leave Private Feedback. This feedback goes directly to you and not to the review sites. They will always be given the option to leave a public review (if you do ask for those), but we find that many will be happy to let you know directly first and give you a chance to respond.
To try out this feature to go the Reviews & Feedback settings page. Please do test with your emails and SMS, if we have previously set you up with customised templates for these we may need to adjust those templates to use the new feature, get in touch at support@buzzshot.co and we'll be happy to help!

It's been coming for a while but we're almost there! If you'd like to try out the integration with the Resova booking software let us know by contact support@buzzshot.co today.
What can you do with Resova integration? I'm glad you asked! The Resova integration allows you to automatically email your new bookings asking them to pre-register (and pre-sign your waiver) online before they arrive. This can be a great help with reducing time when players arrive.
Add an extra revenue stream to your Escape Room by selling framed prints of team photos or maybe event photo keyrings. Or just print out photos to add to your wall of fame. Whatever your reason for printing photos Buzzshot can now help!
To try it out for yourself just go to the new Printing section in the Buzzshot admin and (once you've setup a Print Template) you'll be able to print with a single click, or even bulk print a bunch of photos at once.

Buzzshot sends emails on your behalf including most importantly your after game "Thanks for playing". We do everything we can to avoid these emails ending up in the player's spam folders. But now, with your help, we can do even better! If you verify your domain with Buzzshot it will make the emails we send for you appear much more trust worthy to other email servers. It just requires a couple of custom DNS entries for your domain (don't worry, it's not as scary as it sounds and we're here to help if you need it!)
Due to popular demand we have added an Instagram share button to the SMS landing page. This is the page sent out to players via SMS after each game. The button makes it easier for your players to share their photo on Instagram.
Unfortunately the button can not directly launch the Instagram app, so instead we download the photo to the user's device then give them instructions to open the Instagram app and share it from there.
We have also added a "Download" button to allow player's to just save the photo to their device. While this was possible before by holding your finger down on the photo many player's did not know how to do this, the explicit Download button makes it easy for anyone to download their photo.
A popular feature of Buzzshot is the ability to use custom overlays and frames for your photos. Up until now it's been up to you to create your overlays (although we're always happy to help). To make things easier we've started creating photo overlay presets which are free to use for any Buzzshot customer!
Available today we have "Biohazard", "Poleroid", "Sci-Fi", "Slasher" and "Wanted Poster" presets, but more are coming. Let us know what we should make next!
To try out a preset with one of your rooms to Settings -> Change Rooms and click the dropdown under "Photo Overlay:" and select "Create New", you can then select from the available presets.
